He customized a blend of hiking, biking, and rafting around my interests with many additional side options depending on time/desire. When the weather was rough the last part of my trip, Domen worked with local companies to rearrange times for trips. The GPS provided for hiking and biking was superior! Highly needed for some trails in the national park where trail marking can be confusing. Excellent accommodation selection and very good restraunt suggestions. Best trip I’ve ever been on! It was exceptionally organized and provided great variety in the activities and regions of exploration. I loved all of the overnight accommodations and the meals that were included were excellent.

First a telephone conversation, followed by a few iterations by mail. He was quite flexible and happy to adjust according to our feedback. Trip turned out to be well thought out, with the right mix of activities and places to stay. Having the entire trip and the hike maps available in apps is great and very convenient. Although there were some complicated logistics involved (transfer of luggage, mixed trips hiking + biking etc.), everything worked out 100% (e.g., pick up at 8:40 to drive to rafting = pick up at 8:40 on the mark). We have done several trips like this across the world. The service provided by Domen I would rate among the highest if not the highest. Many thanks to Domen and Slotrips.

We had a terrific 9-day driving tour through Western Slovenia, focusing on beautiful Triglav National Park. Domen Strle, our virtual tour guide and travel agent, chose excellent places for us to stay and activities including hiking, fly-fishing and touring. Without his intimate knowledge of the area and his responsiveness to our questions, we would have had a difficult time planning such a trip (our first to Slovenia). He quickly accommodated last-minute changes to our schedule (e.g., an unplanned but very worthwhile stop in Lubljana; changing the day of our fishing trip), and provided feedback on activities we discovered en route. Altogether, the trip was planned just enough to avoid the stress of finding places to stay and eat, but with enough flexibility to allow spontaneous, spur-of-the-moment activities. The ability to switch digitally from places on the overall trip plan to Google maps driving instructions made navigation easy and painless. It made for a very diverse and fascinating trip, which we enjoyed immensely.

Domen, our local trip specialist from Ljubljana, did an excellent job planning even more activities than we had time to enjoy, so each day there were options. He responded to our many questions and concern with patience and in detail.

Slovenia offers stunning geography, wonderful food, and warm hospitality. Hiking through the Julian Alps and along the Soca River can be challenging with some steep inclines and miles of uneven surfaces to navigate. You need to be fit and wear good boots- all worthwhile when you’re immersed in the natural beauty.

We were provided with with a local phone and a detailed itinerary with maps and navigation for each segment of the trip. We had problems with the Android phone, but found that we could download the maps and itinerary details into our iPhones which worked better for us.

Slovenia was awesome. I loved the trekking - quite challenging sometimes, especially in the Alps/ mountains/ hills , but always interesting. The River Soca is beautiful and Piran is a gorgeous town on the Adriatic. But lots of other lovely places. Domen was superb. Always responsive and kept in touch to make sure I was ok. Miha organised the trip so well to suit our style. He made it easy. Everything was organised from the printed itinerary to the mobile phone on loan! Nothing went wrong and we really enjoyed the hike.

We spent a wonderful two weeks driving around Slovenia, seeing the sights and taking lovely day hikes. Domen and Miha both worked with us designing a unique trip. We visited both the usual tourist sights and some that were specific to our interests. They gave us gps tracks to quiet, solitary day hikes with amazing views. We do not hesitate to recommend Slotrips for a fabulous vacation.

Great trip organised and coordinated by Miha Gantar everything was well thought out and coordinated. The standard of service and accommodation was excellent. The country is open welcoming and not yet over crowded and pretty much everyone spoke english so we had no trouble getting around and being understood. Our guide Aliaz for our 5 day hike was fantastic and took all the worry out of navigating some challenging terrain. By far the best organised trip we have done
