Hot Air Balloon Flight Over the Bled Lake

This was one of the true highlights of our trip. As we rose slowly above the tree line from a farmers field we floated over Lake Bled and the castle on the cliff. Our "pilot" was great - very reassuring since it was pretty scary at first. We finished with a champagne toast and little ceremony in another farm field. What a memorable experience. And, just as we finished our champagne, our driver arrived at the field to whisk us off to our next adventure.

Day Trip to Hvar from Split & Half Day Biking Tour

We took a boat from Split to Hvar and our guide met us at the dock. We rode through vineyards and olive groves and then through beautiful coastal towns. After the bike ride we were driven to our guide's home where he served us wines from his vineyard and a pasta lunch in his wine cellar. What a great experience!

Private Day Trip to Montenegro - Perast & Kotor

This was the only part of the trip that we weren't crazy about. The car ride from Dubrovnik to Perast was quite long, especially since we had to cross the border into Montenegro, which took some time. The trip was originally scheduled for 8 hours and included Perast and Kotor. We opted to eliminate the drive to Kotor. We wish we had opted for the sea kayaking instead of visiting Montenegro. However, our tour in Perast was great and the scenery was awesome.

Plitvice lakes is a MUST do when in Croatia. It is so beautiful!! We had mixed feelings with the tour/guide. We had a good experience and nothing against her, we just weren't sure that it was entirely necessary or that she added to the experience. I think it would've been just as pleasant to have been given the route that is normally taken, and to go alone. The lakes themselves were amazing and are very glad that they were incorporated into the trip.

I could tweek anything I wanted. I decided to upgrade two of the four hotels he originally suggested, but when I look back on it, I probably didn't need to do that. All of our guides were so knowledgeable and we also really appreciated that Nikola partnered with family-owned companies working to provide different perspectives and experiences to their clients.

Every one of our transfers and guided experiences was smooth - on time, well-organized, and professional. And our accommodations were amazing. As a family with 2 kids, when we initially started looking for accommodations in Croatia on our own, we were running into a lot of challenges because most accommodations labeled “family suites” were really only designed to sleep 3 people. It would have been very difficult and time-consuming for me to locate on my own the excellent hotels that Nikola found. Locations were great, hosts were friendly and helpful with advice, breakfasts were wonderful. Finally, in the places where Nikola suggested a certain location for our family (such as Trogir over Split or Starigrad over Hvar town), they were 100% the right recommendation for what we were looking for.

It is hard to pick our favorite places in Croatia - we were glad we visited each place we did, But some of the ones that stand out are Plitvice, Trogir, Stari Grad (on Hvar island) and Korcula.

This experience is not to be missed! The family was so warm & friendly, and it was so fun to hear their extensive family (15 generations!) history! Private Full Day Boat Tour to Blue Cave & Pakleni Islands

The Blue Cave was closed due to weather (currents?) but I think that ended up being a great thing, since it is a long process to visit it. We were able to have a nice lunch in Palmizana at Bacchus Restaurant, saw 20+ dolphins, and visited some beautiful beaches (blus lagoon, Stiniva, etc). It was a wonderful day.

The itinerary he provided was very detailed, and we never had to second guess where we were going or how to get there. All of our connections and tours went to plan and were extremely well orchestrated. During the trip, Nikola checked in with us daily to make sure things were going well, and he even gave us a surprise visit early in the trip. It was great to meet him in person! He made himself available at all hours and was extremely responsive. He helped negotiate a minor issue when the car we hired was a bit too small for us. And, Nikola went above and beyond to arrange vegan and allergy-free breakfasts for my son at each hotel . We could not have been more pleased with his level of service, attention, and creativity.

All of our walking tours were very good, but we especially enjoyed the ones in Split and Dubrovnik as our guides were very entertaining. The biking and food tour in Korcula was a highlight of the trip. We really enjoyed visiting family farms and orchards and tasting their products and even brought several home with us. Our guide was very fun and adaptable. Highly recommend! We loved all of the boutique hotels; they were well appointed and ideally located to walking the city or town. The Manda Heritage Hotel, La Grisla, and Hotel Camera went out of their way to create vegan breakfasts for my son. They were better than we could have expected - oftentimes, he only gets bread and jam, but each of them either made him special dishes or purchased vegan yogurts or "meats" for him. The Hotel Camera also left us special treats in our room the two nights we were there - it was such a special touch. Hotel Korsal was beautiful, close to Old Town and had a stunning view. We enjoyed many breaks on their terrance. All of the hotels were kind and accommodating and offered us excellent advice.

This was one of our best family trips ever. We highly recommend working with Nikola for anyone wanting to visit Croatia.

Lovely hotel in a location convenient to many of the most interesting towns in Istria. The rooms were very attractive, comfortable, and clean, with new furnishings. The restaurant was also nice, with an attractive outdoor courtyard that was lovely in both the mornings for breakfast and evenings for dinner. The hotel/restaurant and wait staff went out of their way to accommodate my son's dietary restrictions, often cooking him special meals. The desk staff were also helpful and attentive. It was an amazing experience to stay at this charming hotel in an ideal location near to the old town, but in an uncongested and quiet area. It is family run and very personable. The family room was charming and spacious for a family of four. The breakfast went above and beyond to accommodate our son's dietary restrictions. They staff was beyond kind and helpful. And, the nicest touch of all were surprise flowers on our arrival and a surprise fruit tray on our second day of touring. What an amazingly lovely hotel!

Stunning views overlooking the water and a fantastic location. The hotel is located only a few minute's walk to the Old Town. It has its own lovely restaurant and there are several others nearby. The hotel staff are very attentive and helpful. The rooms are clean and airy and very comfortable. The outdoor space is a plus; we enjoyed sitting on the terrace overlooking the water between touring and beach visits.

Fantastic personalized tour. This was one of the highlights of our trip. We very much enjoyed visiting the family farms and wineries, hearing their stories, and enjoying tastes of food and drink. We enjoyed the stunning views of the Korcula countryside. Our guide was fun, well connected and well informed of the region. The bike ride was relaxing, with only a few hills for healthy challenge! Upon arriving in Croatia, Nikola greeted us with a welcome gift and a printed copy of our itinerary. He stayed with us until we were set up in our rental car and ready to go. Our itinerary included Plitvice Lakes, Split, Korcula, and Dubrovnik. Our trip plan was complete with suggested stops to make along the way, like Rastoke, a quaint village with gorgeous waterfalls running through it. Recommended activities, sights, and restaurants at every destination were also included. Nikola was available at any point via WhatsApp with any questions and requests we had, like making dinner reservations for our last night in Split after a day trip to Bosnia.

Based on our conversations, Nikola knew our love for wine and local cuisine so we were thrilled when he booked us a private wine tour in Korčula and a culinary experience with a local family in Dubrovnik! Both became highlights of our entire trip. Additionally, every hotel accommodation we experienced was perfect and provided us with delightful breakfast each morning! We cannot say enough good things about Nikola and the experience we had with kimkim because of him. We have recommended it to everyone we’ve spoken to since coming home. Where do we even begin? From the moment we arrived in Split, Tonci greeted us with such warm hospitality that immediately made us feel at home. Not only did he assist us with parking and luggage, but he spent ample time providing us with a detailed overview of suggested activities, restaurants, & sights to see. The staff here genuinely care about your time and go above and beyond to ensure you have the best experience possible. As others have mentioned, breakfast packed in the early morning for ease was an added bonus. We were able to contact the staff easily at any time during our stay for questions and further recommendations. Every recommendation he gave was superb! It is apparent that he has immense pride in his beautiful hometown and absolutely loves to share that joy with all who visit. At the end of our visit, Tonci escorted us to the catamaran to safely see us off to our next destination. Like I said, above and beyond service! We will be staying here again should we be given the opportunity to return to Split!
