We felt very warmly welcomed. Our archaeologist guide in Athens, Nikolaos, was exceptionally knowledgable, making our private tour of the Acropolis an early highlight. We spent several days touring the northwest mainland with our scholar guide, Babis, who was definitely both of these and much more. He gave us many fantastic guided tours, including a very memorable tour of the Meteora monasteries. He also pointed out special points of interest for us all along the way -- all the time skillfully navigating the national highway system! Every hotel was excellent and perfectly suited to what we requested. Our time staying at Apeiros Chora in Zagori is especially noteworthy for the rich heritage and charming proprietors. We had a lot of travel experience before this trip and hesitated to hire help; in the end we're so glad we did and just thrilled that we let KimKim do so much of the planning. Hotel was off the beaten track and quite a walk to the town for meals etc, especially when it was dark as there was no sidewalk and the road was pretty windy. Not a good combo for pedestrians. We were lucky to have a guide willing to come get us. Since it was off-season, there was no transportation, no restaurant service, and no laundry services provided. It would have been good to know these things prior to checking in. The room was adorable and the fireplace was fun to have.

The road to town is a bit dicey without transportation. It is not that far, but they need to offer transport to town.

We found the hotel staff members to be friendly and engaging and one employee in particular guided us to an unplanned excursion that was most enjoyable.
Another extraordinary benefit was the opportunity to explore each city, including Thessaloniki, Athens, and Santorini, with guides who ranged from an art historian, archeologist, and outdoor adventurer! Seeing the ancient historical sites from their perspective and depth of knowledge was informative, entertaining, and broadened our intellects. Each one warmly greeted us and by day's end, felt we had made a new friend.

Theodore in Athens was so kind and welcoming, happy and knowledgeable, we had good food drinks and fun. Off to Crete.
George at Knossos was very good at explaining all the information at the archeological site on a level we could understand . Our driver for the day Yiannis was more than just a driver we stopped for coffee and snacks there was never any pressure. He explained a lot about the Island while he drove.
Wine tasting with Eva was so fun. This girl was a breath of fresh air!! We really connected with her and had a blast.
Yiannis took us on a road trip to the mountains and to a little village to taste some amazing food from the region. We really appreciated how slow he drove and would stop to show us things it was very relaxing. Again very kind and down to earth young man.
Antonis had to tweak our original tour due to weather and we just loved how flexible he was ! We LOVED the walk in old town and everywhere he took us, the food and drinks, the conversations. He was just a gem! The whole experience was so relaxing. He was a super nice young man with a great smile! He also acted like a photographer, he got some amazing shots of us. Great day!
In Santorini Lazarus had to also tweak our original tour but it was very nice. He took us to Oia and told us all about the island and took the most amazing photos of us at all the great spots. We would have never on our own taken these photos. When he took us for our lunch he ordered ahead then explained all the wonderful food we were going to enjoy, and I loved how he gave us some time alone to rest and enjoy our food. When on our wine tasting with a magnificent view he again stayed close by but let us enjoy some alone time. Again a very kind and super knowledgeable young man, enjoyed his company.
On Mykonos we got a little walking tour of little Venice and the town with Christos, it was very relaxing kick back tour.
Back in Athens we got to tour the Acropolis with an actual Archeologist Nicholas who worked the site for 3 years. He was SO knowledgeable. We loved how he took care not to run us ragged lol !! There was a lot of climbing, we took It slow and easy it was really appreciated. He went even further and took us to the tomb of the unknown soldier and the Plaka, even suggested a great place to have dinner.
All in all every single one of the tour guides gave us their numbers and offered any help in the future if we needed.
For us, each of the places we visited had great things. Crete with the millions of Olive trees and mountains and the beauty of the old port town .
Santorini the breathtaking views of the Caldera were unlike anything. The only drawback there were the steps up and down everywhere could be bad for some people.
Mykonos tho was our favorite. We loved not being so high up and with close walking distance to the sea and the town.
The hotels that were chosen were so nice and located perfectly!
I would say do not hesitate to book a trip through Rebecca at Grecian Lux you will not regret it!!

These bungalows just across the street from the new port in Mykonos offer a lovely view, nice pool, and friendly, helpful staff. Their morning buffets are excellent. It’s a climb (lots of stairs) to some of the rooms. Access to the port for ferries into town or for Fast Ferries to other islands is wonderful; however, it is hard to get anywhere otherwise. During the busy season, no taxis can be found, buses are packed, and walking alongside the highway is (very) sketchy. If you don’t have a car (God help you for driving in Mykonos), getting to the famous beaches is nearly impossible.

Mykonos-Day Trip to Delos island & Mykonos Free Afternoon

This was a great adventure and gave us a true feel for Mykonos and Greece in general. We boarded the beautiful Sunfos sailing vessel, kicked off our shoes, and enjoyed an incredible sail to the island of Rhenia, where we snorkeled, swam and feasted. The on-board lunch was exceptional, staff attentive, and ship just stunning. We then sailed to Delos, where we embarked on an archeological tour of the island. Just breathtaking! Loved, loved this tour—a day well spent.

Stopped to see the sights in Fira, walked the streets of Olia and drove up to the highest point in Santorini for the views. We had the most amazing trip in Greece! Rebecca Skevakis was our travel specialist and she could not have set up a more seamless or thoughtful trip for us. For Greece, since we only had ten days and I wanted to make the most of our time there, I used KimKim and Rebecca to assist with all the details. As the title of the review said....perfection start to finish.

We spent two nights in Athens to start the trip. We had a free day to get acclimated to the time change and explore a bit on our own. The hotel, Coco Mat Athens, was fantastically located near the Acropolis with views. Walkable to everything we wanted to see. We had a tour of the Acropolis with our tour guide, Angela, who was so knowledgeable and took us to some areas of the Plaka that we would never have seen. We then transferred by plane to Chania, Crete. Another fantastic hotel, Chania Flair Boutique. Again, perfect location with beach access in the City. We went to Balos Beach, did an olive oil farm and press and cooking class. Had dinner at the most beautiful farm to table restaurant, and had time to explore the harbor district and spend some good quality time just relaxing at the beach. After three days on Chania, we went to Santorini and stayed just outside of Fira. We had the most unbelievable view of the caldera and the quintessential view of the white cliffside accomodations in Santorini. We were able to go cliff jumping in Atouni Bay, spent at day at a beach club at Theros Beach and did a sunset catamaran cruise of the island. All beyond perfect. We did one final transfer back to Athens but instead of it being a night of just wandering, we scheduled a food and wine tour of the Psyri neighborhood, and our guide, Theo, took us to places we would never have found on our own. Theo was fantastic and given that we had a 100 degree day, tailored our time to accommodate the oppressive heat.

Overall, I can't rave enough about Rebecca, GrecianLux, KimKim. Her attention to detail, from really listening to what my family wanted out of the trip, to the accommodations that she arranged, to the tours, to the transfers each step of the trip....every detail went off without a hitch. For example, we had one day when we were to take a boat tour to a beach but the wind was up and the harbor shut down, so she arranged for alternate transportation (her husband, Michael drove us! Michael was also amazing and so knowledgeable!) We could still go to the beach and then added on a dinner at the best restaurant. She also arranged for transportation and a reservation at a beach club in Santorini on a day when my kids rejected a six mile hike (walking uphill, even with views, was not appealing to teenagers !). The app that we used was also incredibly user friendly. It had all of our trip information organized by day and also important documents. We had the opportunity to meet Rebecca and she and her family were just so warm and welcoming in person.

If you are planning a trip to Greece, I am happy to provide the highest recommendation for Rebecca and KimKim. Perfect trip with memories that will last a lifetime.

Chania - The Cretan Treasures Tour

Unbelievable experience! We were picked up by Yannis who was our tour guide for the day. He was funny, engaged with our children, and also very knowledgeable about everything related to our tour, Greece and Crete. We toured an olive oil refinery and farm, and then took a cooking class at a private farm in the Kissamos district. So beautiful and away from tourists. We cooked stuffed tomatoes and peppers and stuffed grape leaves. And we were served a traditional Cretan meal with different types of cheeses, honey, Greek salad, roasted vegetables, roasted goat, and dessert of yogurt and different types of local honey. One of the best experiences of our trip. We highly recommend.

Chania - Dive into magnificent Balos Beach with a private boat (Fishing boat)

We didn't actually get to take a boat to Balos Beach because the ocean was too high and the Harbor Master closed the marina. However, our travel specialist Rebecca arranged for a driver to take us to and from the same beach which was so thoughtful. The wind was high that day but that kept the crowds down and we were able to be comfortable behind some of the big rocks on the beach. We then were able to go for dinner at a local farm to table restaurant near Balos. Again, Rebecca took care of the cost of the meal because we had paid for dinner on the boat trip that got cancelled. Really, she went over and above and we had the best alternate experience!

There is a LOT to see here, and Google maps got us lost a few times. I would definitely recommend leaving earlier than we did and spending less time at beaches in order to enjoy more of the scenery. The highlight of our tour. It was a private tour for my traveling partner and myself. Lazarus picked us up and took us to all the best places on the island, and some hidden gems as well. He's very knowledgable, knows so many people on the island, and he used our phones to take our photos and when I say that they look magasine worthy, I'm not kidding. Simply magnificent. The winery sampling was an amazing experience, and then taking us to the highest point on the island was worth the view!

Mykonos - Walking Tour with Delicious Goody Bag

We met Stelios for our walking tour of Mykonos town. Not only were we completely mesmerized by the town, but Stelios entertained us for the entire 90 minutes. We loved hearing everything he had to say about the town, food, shops, Greek culture, and he was even more interested in getting to know us and our interests. It felt like we were walking the town with an old friend. Stelios also gave us some great recommendations for food and drink for our remaining two days on the island. It was a phenomenal, personalized experience on our first night in Mykonos!

Theo met us at our hotel and immediately took us out for coffee and breakfast. He told us all about Athens, reviewed our trip with us, gave us some recommendations, and walked us to Monastiraki square for some shopping. It was a great way to start our trip!

Chania - Street Stories of Chania Tour

This was such an interesting tour! We loved spending time with our guide Manos, who was incredibly friendly and courteous. He made sure to show us some of the local spots, which was a fun change of pace from the more-touristy Venetian harbor. Of course, he found a great spot for coffee with a view and our lunch was delicious!
