We had a super trip, thanks to our brilliant guide, Pemba Sherpa and of course Ngima who pulled the trip together for us!

The planning was easy, as all we wanted was a straightforward trek into Lantang Valley, but Ngima also organised an excellent day’s outing in Kathmandu for us.

The airport pickups and drop-offs were flawless and Ngima’s recommended choice of hotels in Kathmandu worked really well.

On the jeep ride to Langtang Valley, the car had a small mechanical problem, but within the hour a replacement car had arrived and we were back on our way, with hardly any time at all lost.

Pemba proved to be a great guide on the trek- very accommodating to small changes in the itinerary, very patient and caring with the slower walker of the team and with a great sense of humour. We stayed in lovely tea houses and he made sure that we were as comfortable as we could be, with spare blankets to keep us warm and a steady flow of black tea to keep us going! Our porter, Nyima was also good company and a very steady chap.

We were super-lucky with the weather and hit a fantastic "window" on the day we wanted to walk up Kyanjin Ri- great photos, great scenery! Maybe next time we'd do this trek, we'd plan in an extra day at Kyanjin Gompa, so we could see a little more of the fascinating valley.

We’d be delighted to use the crew again in future trips and we’ve already recommended them to our friends and family!

He set us up with 2 excellent guides - one for the city tours who was an expert in the history, culture, etc., and one for the light trekking. If we return to Nepal to do more trekking, I would definitely use Chewang and request the same guides. He kept our schedule flexible so we only booked the helicopter to Everest the night before to ensure the weather would be ok. In speaking to several others who were recently in Nepal - their tours were very fixed and they spent the money on the helicopter without ever seeing Everest. Would definitely recommend Chewang and his guides.

Bandipur was simply gorgeous - it was like being on a movie set, it was so unreal! Chitwan was unforgettable - hugging and feeding the elephants was simply a dream come true! We actually were fortunate enough to receive a blessing from a Hindu Living Goddess on our last day! I could go on forever - it was THAT amazing and so well planned out! And we learned SO much from Rajive! Our drivers were wonderfully skilled in navigating the rocky unpaved roads! It was perfect! We are already planning our next trip with Kim Kim! 🙏 Dhanyabad! ❤️

She is very social and fun, and clearly knows the trail and accommodations very well. The circuit itself was stunning and everyday had different environment, views, and cultural villages. We were super happy with our booking through kimkim because we also felt it was more organized than other groups on trail and we didn’t have to worry about anything. The itinerary was very flexible and allowed for changes due to weather conditions or personal preference which was super nice as well. All in all, would definitely use Kimkim/Himalayan Trails again!

What a great introduction to Nepal. My trip was so well organized and each place I stayed was unique with friendly hosts. Waking to Mountains in Nagarkot day 1 was amazing followed my 4 days of hiking up and down lush, terraced valleys with my amazing guides, Mingma and Dorze. What a great introduction to Nepal. My trip was so well organized and each place I stayed was unique with friendly hosts. Waking to Mountains in Nagarkot day 1 was amazing followed my 4 days of hiking up and down lush, terraced valleys with my amazing guides, Mingma and Dorze. I loved making Nepali food with Christina and Maya at Mata Chen, such a beautiful place to stay. My final day biking from Panouti to Kathmandu with my incredible guide Usha was surreal. From hilltop villages to temples along the way and a crazy, fun ride across Kathmandu right to my hotel. Unforgettable!

Our trek with Kim Kim has been a fantastic experience from start to finish. The communication from Ngima was exceptional throughout. The team on the trek were also excellent - our guide Dafuri Sherpa was knowledgable and responsive to our requests, and the porters Nuru and Finju Sherpa were positive and professional. Their connections with local people meant that we were guaranteed a warm welcome at every place we visited. The whole of the valley was beautiful but there is no doubt that ascending Kyanjin Ri was the highlight

Overall, our trip to Kathmandu and Nagarkot was an amazing experience. Everything had been carefully planned and very well-spaced out regarding the scheduled activities. Our guide, Boippin, was super friendly, very knowledgeable and very responsive to our interests and preferences. Exploring the city was truly fascinating, with a variety of destinations, from buzzing markets to historical temples and palaces. Our short stay in the mountains (Nagarkot) was really restful, with the only disappointing part being the limited visibility and no view of the Himalayas. The Mystic Mountain is an amazing hotel, and the hiking possibilities in the area are endless.
I would strongly encourage anyone considering a visit to Nepal to opt for guided trips, as they seem the most efficient and safe way to see places, try local dishes and get a taste of Nepal in a limited space of time. Our guide (as well as our drivers) was excellent indeed, professional and passionate about his home land. Thank you, Sangita and team, for planning and delivering such a memorable travel experience to our family!

I have never been trekking before not even exercising, so all of my friends including myself so proud of me to reach the point at 4,850m, nevertheless I had to take the helicopter back for safety, Its a memorable experience and so precious for me and it couldn’t been done without our guide and the team, I will start to training my physical strength for the next round.

The places we stayed were definitely above average for the area.

I am 59 years old and in moderately good shape. I had no training for the trip and it was still very doable. We truly enjoyed our guides Chhewang and CT. They were accommodating and knowledgeable about the culture and area. They were with us from beginning to end.

The trip was easy to plan. We didn't know exactly where we wanted to go, but from our conversation, Chhweng was able to put a wonderful experience together. They did an amazing job of cultivating a personable experience. I would definitely do another trip without hesitation with them!

I had no idea how impactful our week would be and I would not have a changed a thing, except to have had the ability to have stayed longer! Every detail was perfect. We were very busy and packed a lot into just one week, but we still were able to experience so many different aspects of Nepalese culture, geography, food, and travel. Our guide, Rajive was AMAZING! He was so knowledgeable, and his humor and overall personality made us feel like Nepal was home for the week. He is definitely one of the reasons my teenage son got so much out of "the best vacation ever". We have been home for over a week, and we still miss Nepal, Rajive, and all of the wonderful people we met along the way. We will definitely be back to visit and explore more of the beauty of Nepal; this trip changed us all forever and we are so thankful for the pictures and memories that will remind us that we need to get back sooner than later!

This trip was fantastic thanks to our guides and porters. They were some of the kindest people we met while in Nepal and were incrediblely knowledgeable about anything we had questions about. Himalayan Trails oversaw all of our trek and there was very little we needed to do besides hike. The mountains, people, and culture of Nepal will be an unforgettable part of the world for me moving forward! I can't wait to go back again!

Our family had an amazing trip on the Ghorepani / Poon Hill trek. We have a 5 year old and a 7 year old and Ngima and his team made the trip seamless and provided all the necessary support.

Dafuri was an excellent sherpa and his team were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Ngima and his team, they are professional and made our trip one we will never forget!
